25 June 2007Case Study: Water Storage Tank, TX
Pioneer Water Tanks has recently installed a 65,000-gallon GALAXY™ water storage tank at the AAA storage facility in Dripping Springs, Texas.
The system, designed by Alan Rossing of Lakota Water, utilizes a 65,000 gallon GALAXY™ water tank that provides a water storage facility to capture rainwater from the roof area at the site.
The existing roof area was 81,600 square feet, meaning that a one-inch rainfall would yield approximately 48,000 gallons of rainwater.
The water has been captured for use at the site, with rainwater replacing other water supply for use in restrooms and for irrigation purposes.
The Pioneer GALAXY™ range of water storage tanks provided a durable, cost effective and space efficient solution for the site.
The system design also included a submersible pressure pump located in the tank, and a 3-stage, filter-rack with UV filtration system. These features combine with the specialist design-features of the GALAXY™ tank range to help maintain the quality of the water supply.
